On the evening of February 10th, the police in Ha Tinh, in collaboration with the Ky Anh Town Police and the Cam Xuyen District Police, successfully apprehended the suspect, Tran Van Huy (born 1984, residing in Cam Minh commune, Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province). Huy is accused of fatally shooting Phung Van P. (born 1999, from Hong Hai neighborhood, Ky Phuong ward, Ky Anh town) earlier that same day.

According to local authorities, Phung had recently returned from the Philippines two months prior. At the time of the incident, he was sitting at his computer in his bedroom. After the shooting, the suspect discarded the gun and fled the scene on a motorcycle.

Using gathered evidence, police identified the suspect as Tran Van Huy (born 1984, from Cam Minh commune, Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province) and initiated a swift manhunt.

By 11 PM that night, Tran Van Huy was captured while hiding in the Cau Rac area of Cam Trung commune, Cam Xuyen district. The investigation team is currently questioning him to determine the motive behind the crime.

As previously reported, around 5 PM on February 10th, residents of Hong Hai neighborhood in Ky Phuong ward heard gunshots coming from Phung’s house. Upon arrival, they found him collapsed in his bedroom. He was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately did not survive. The Ha Tinh police, along with forces from Ky Anh Town, organized a manhunt for the suspect that night.
