Actors Thúy Nga and Quang Lê recently visited the home of Gerard Richard Williams and singer Bích Tuyền.
Outside the villa, Thúy Nga pointed to a decorative flower pot set up for the Tet holiday and asked, “Wasn’t this once a water fountain? Did you change the feng shui?” Bích Tuyền shyly admitted, “Yes, I changed the feng shui.”
The fountain Thúy Nga referred to was the structure that Đàm Vĩnh Hưng accidentally damaged, leading to an incident on February 19, 2024, which has resulted in ongoing legal disputes between the singer and Mr. Gerard.
After touring the house, Thúy Nga and Quang Lê enjoyed a karaoke session with Gerard and Bích Tuyền before heading out for dinner.
During dinner, Bích Tuyền shared stories about her husband’s ups and downs in life. Gerard was born into a poor family, with a German father and an Italian mother.
In his childhood, Gerard’s family was so impoverished that they had no electricity or running water; they relied entirely on a nearby well.
Coming from a farming background, Gerard excelled in school. With the help of a scholarship, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minor in Computer Science, later pursuing a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Gerard began his engineering career at a company in Houston before moving to a British tech firm with a branch in Texas.
After 13 years, he was invited to become a director at Apple and eventually rose to a senior director position. Since 2013, most of the processors in iPhones have been designed by Gerard. Another impressive achievement includes overseeing the redesign of Apple’s Mac line and creating the Apple M1 processor.
Following his time at Apple, Gerard left in 2019 to co-found a semiconductor company called Nuvia with friends.
In 2024, Qualcomm acquired Nuvia for $1.4 billion (approximately 35.5 trillion VND), and Gerard was appointed Vice President.
Gerard met Bích Tuyền through a dating website. They discovered many shared interests and aspirations in life.
After dating for a while, the couple held their wedding in Hawaii. For Bích Tuyền, Gerard embraced and grew fond of Vietnamese culture, cuisine, music, and history, dedicating seven years to learning Vietnamese to communicate with his in-laws.

Bích Tuyền: “If Đàm Vĩnh Hưng compensates me, I will donate the money.” The singer Bích Tuyền stated that if she wins the lawsuit against Đàm Vĩnh Hưng, the compensation will be used for charitable purposes.
